How engagements run
Scoping note first, priced and dated, with the question written down in one sentence. If we cannot answer it from open sources to a usable confidence level, we say so before you commission the work rather than after.
Start with one sentenceExposure assessment
A structured reading of where a dependence becomes a vulnerability, and which single actor could reach more than one of your routes.
Deliverable: written assessment with graded findings, a schematic of the system as designed, and the points at which it fails.
Corridor and chokepoint review
Route-by-route analysis of maritime, pipeline and rail options, tested against a common adversary rather than against geography alone.
Deliverable: comparative matrix, narrative assessment, and a watch list of indicators that would change the judgement.
Standing watch
Continuous monitoring of a named theatre, with short written notes when an indicator moves and a quarterly consolidated assessment.
Deliverable: issue-triggered notes plus quarterly review. Subscribers receive the reasoning, not only the conclusion.
Evidence audit
Independent verification of the sourcing behind an existing report, strategy document or investment case.
Deliverable: finding-by-finding provenance trace, with each claim graded and every unverifiable figure identified by name.
Review and evaluation
External peer review of proposals and manuscripts, and evaluation panels for research funders.
Centre staff review for peer-reviewed journals and have served as external evaluators for national research funding agencies.
Briefings and teaching
Closed-door briefings, executive sessions and short courses on energy geopolitics and infrastructure risk.
Delivered in English, Azerbaijani, Turkish or Russian. Remote or in person.
What we will not do
We do not write to a predetermined conclusion, and we do not remove a confidence grade because it is inconvenient. If the evidence will not carry the finding a client wants, that is the finding.
